In reply to George. Hello George. I'm thrilled you are a big fan of our site! You are correct...I have never been to Oregon and Tim was there for a very quick work trip (a few days in Bend). However, we will be in Oregon this September, as part of a road trip to visit Redwood, Lassen Volcanic, and Crater Lake NPs. So, it will just be southern Oregon and just for a few days. If you are planning a trip to the Portland area, unfortunately we have little to no experience there. We are trying to get everywhere and I have a feeling we will be back to Oregon again soon (people have told me that if I go to Oregon, I'd love it so much I would never want to leave). Cheers, Julie
